1. Grading System

7 35 – <40 1.6 D Basic
8 <35 NG Not Graded

Grade ‘D’ clearly indicate Basic progress. Those who obtain grades must try to improve their performance. Otherwise they might be denied promotion.

2. Report Cards

Report cards are distributed at the end of each round of tests and exams. At the end of the final term, annual report is prepared on the basis of a student’s performance in all the exams conducted in the whole academic session. Students must pass in all subjects.

Parents are requested to analyze performance of their children by going through their report cards. They should discuss the problems with wards and provide them with additional help should it be necessary.

NOTE

  • It is compulsory for the Students to appear in all the Unit tests and Terminal examinations.
  • If a student is absent for any of the test or examination, he/she will be marked absent for it and re-test be taken, whatever the reason for the absence. 
  • Students fond cheating in exams, tests, homework or project work are given zero.

3. General Rules for Conduct & Discipline

BGA reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action for activities considered detrimental to the welfare of the school.

4. Bus Rules

Students should strictly follow the following rules :

  • Talking loudly and making noise on the bus is prohibited.
  • Leaning out and putting one’s hand out of the windows is not allowed.
  • Eating is not allowed on the bus.
  • When leaving or approaching the bus, students ought to look in both directions.
  • Students should be careful while boarding or alighting from the bus.
  • Follow the direction of the teachers, bus monitors and drivers.
  • All other general school rules apply. 

5. Language Policy

English is the medium of instruction as fluent English is usually a basic requirement for admission to centers of higher education. It gives access to modern knowledge not readily available in Nepal.

It is an easy means of communication in the international sphere of life. It is language which can be understood in different parts of the world. With the growth of trade and commerce, it has spread across the world. At present it has become language of universal culture and embraces various department of knowledge.

English is the language of diplomacy and it contains many a rich literally treasure; it gives us an introduction to western culture.

Besides English which is the medium of instruction,  we also emphasize on Nepali.  Nepali is given due importance. Many co-curricular activities are also taught in Nepali and English.1
